In the early days of assessing feasibility and pursuing a contract with Formula 1, Apex undertook master planning for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for a Grand Prix in the Marina Bay precinct.

In 2014, Apex were appointed by Confluence to improve the driveability and speed of T10 to T15 without compromise to safety. This resulted in the homologation for the modifications by the FIA and their inclusion in the race circuit for 2014.
